Today we’re taking a look at a new green improvements, Cheating Death. The card has just been revealed by @PlayArtifact on their Twitter account.
Cheating Death is a green improvement card that costs 5 mana to deploy. The Cheating Death’s text says that “if there is an allied green hero in this lane, allies have a 50% chance of surviving with 1 Health when they would die”. This is a rare card, so don’t bet that you will find it that easily when the game gets launched.
The Cheating Death improvement effect works only for the green heroes deployed in its lane. Improvements are always added to a single lane, and these are shown as icons right next to that lane’s tower. If you’re using a deck packed with green heroes mostly, then all of those deployed in a lane with Cheating Death active should have a half chance of surviving letal attacks.
Artifact will be rolled out at the end of November, but until then we should be getting the Artifact Beta a few weeks before the official launch. The Artifact Beta will only be accessible for those owning a beta key.
Artifact will be released on Steam first for Windows, Mac and Linux computers. The game will cost $20 and it will come with some goodies, too.
With Artifact you will get two complete pre-made decks, and ten additional Booster packs. All the Booster packs contain 12 cards, and in each pack you will find a rare card and another hero one. These Booster packs should also be purchasable from the in-game store for $2 after the game is launched.
You can use the comments field to tell us what you think about this game. If you’re a fan of Artifact, then tell us what deck type you’re planning on using when Artifact is officially released in November.
